Being a married couple who gets to spend their days together doing wedding photography and cinematography is amazing, especially when we get to travel to California. We get to meet people like Marilyn and Grant- special people, with a wedding day was nothing short of special. There were so many incredible moments of laughter and love throughout the day, so much love. We truly hope that we have done their day justice in capturing the joy everyone felt with our photography and cinematography. At the start of the weekend, Grant and Marilyn opened up their home to us while we were in town, which gave us an opportunity to capture some more of who they are as people and their relationship together. It was the little things- the squeaky hardwood floors, window light dancing across the room, little details of their home. The second mashup song in their wedding video is actually sung by the bride herself, and was the music behind their first dance together. Isn’t she incredibly talented? It only makes sense that a voice so beautiful would come out of such a lovely lady. The backdrop for their ceremony was made by her dad, there were hand painted signs telling their story all around the courtyard, and mementos of their relationship could be see throughout the night. So many details and so much time went into this beautiful day. Thank you both for letting us be there. We hope to see you again soon, now that the pressures of the wedding have worn off, and the joy of marriage has set in.
This beautiful day wouldn’t have been possible without the help of so many other creatives. Del Langdale, who works with A to Z Wholesale Flowers put together THE most stunning and unique succulent bouquet for Marilyn that complimented the handmade wooden boxes of succulents her mother had gardened for months, perfectly. We were quite smitten with all the greenery. The day was absolutely flawless, with the help of the coordinator, April Cenora- she was 100% our favorite coordinator that we’ve ever worked with. She made sure that not only Marilyn and Grant had everything they needed, but the vendors did too. And the hair & makeup?! My goodness, Krista Palacio was quite amazing. We were blown away by how she made Marilyn even more beautiful and lovely than she already is. If you are in the Southern California area and want a unique look for your wedding, she is 100% right for you. Thanks so much to you all, and everyone else who contributed to making Marilyn and Grant’s wedding day perfect.
