Shooting an intimate wedding in Sequoia National Park was basically a dream. Namely because Ariel and Cody, some of the most lovely people on the planet, were the ones getting married in it. From the moment I showed up to the Airbnb the day before the wedding, Ariel became a fast friend. She had gotten all of my most favorite snacks (sun chips, bark thins, sour patch kids, and la croix) and set them up in my room like a gosh dang angel. I got to hang out with her and her bridesmaids all night and we had a freakin’ blast. The next day I was able to meet Cody and it was then that I could see why they were getting married. They were perfect for each other and there love was incredibly evident.
Their wedding ceremony featured one of my favorite traditions, ring warming. It brings out the most beautiful emotions in everyone and really reminds everyone of the promises that the couple is making to each other that day. I just love that. It was an absolute honor to be a witness to all of the love that surrounded Ariel and Cody that day, and to get to spend the rest of the afternoon with them exploring the national park and taking beautiful photos. <3
