Max and Laura had the most beautiful wedding day in Kirkby Stevens at the gorgeous Eden Barn. We shot Max’s cousins wedding two years ago in England, you can find their wedding here. So when Max and Laura reached out to us, we were over the moon to get to go back! We fell in love with England, and all of the people. After shooting both of these weddings, we have come home with friends for life and we are so grateful for that. Now, about the wedding…
We pulled up to the most beautiful country side speckled with dainty yellow flowers, where Laura was getting ready with her mom, sister, and best friend. It was a quiet house full of anticipation and seriously so much love for each other. The getting ready is always one of my favorite parts of the day. Sometimes people are stressed, anxious, giddy, excited, totally zen, or totally hyped up. You just never know. But I love coming into the craziness of a wedding day, and getting to witness the moments before one of the biggest moments of their life. They’re usually the most touching and beautiful to me. One thing I loved that Laura did at her wedding was exchange letters with her mom, they had a truly special relationship.
The house she got ready at had the most amaaaaazing swing that swung over a hillside. It created the most whimsical and beautiful photos of a bride I’ve ever created and I love them so much! She looked so gorgeous and peaceful swinging. Shortly after Max arrived and they did a ‘first touch’, rather than a first look. We chose the stairs for them to exchange letters on and it made the cutest moments and photos.
The twinkle lit ceremony at Eden Barn was just stunning and created the perfect atmosphere for sweet Max and Laura. After the ceremony we had a guest drive us down the road to the most perfect field with the most perfect backdrop during the most perfect sunset. I don’t know if you picked up on this, but it was pretty perfect… I created some of my most favorite wedding portraits I’ve made. I think I’ve talked enough though, so scroll on to take a look at the beauty that is Max and Laura. <3
This was so amazingly captured!
