This Is Us
We are Keely and Aaron, husband and wife of The Montoya Collective! Keely takes all of these beautiful photos you’ve seen, and Aaron is the mastermind behind the tear-jerking videography. We are based in Northwest Arkansas, but we travel all the heck over. Our work has taken us to England, Mexico, New York, South Carolina, California, Chicago, Belize, and so many more places. When you work with us on your wedding day, you’re signing up for not only beautiful photos or video, but for some great friends. We go far beyond our job description at weddings. Either of us would be happy to be your personal errand runner, seamstress, shoe polisher, shoulder to cry on, or dress fluffer. We are there for you. You are our top priority and we will go out of our way to make sure you really do have the best day ever. Now, as for each of us…
Hi, I’m Keely! I’m a huge lover of all things weddings, so please feel free to tell me every detail about yours. I will get excited about all of it and I might use way too many smiley faces. The love that makes up weddings is a driving force for me and the work I produce. Seeing the immense happiness between couples, their families, and their friends is my favorite thing in the world. I strive to connect with my couples on a deeper level, and getting people comfortable with me. There’s nothing I love more than when I can see someones wall come down- that’s when we really create magic in photos! I’ve been photographing weddings for four years now, and I’ve fallen more in love with it every year. As for me, I love my husband, my dogs Luca and Olive (and every other dog in the world), deep dish pizza, thrift shopping, gold things, French 75’s, and traveling. Fun fact: I have chronic hiccups. Yup, it’s a thing. Making time for my husband and friends is very important to me. I like to think I’m a very big-hearted person and I have a lot of passion for the things I do and the people in my life.
Hey, everyone, I’m Aaron. I love vanilla bean ice cream (Blue Bell). Zelda (OOT is my childhood). Mixing drinks. Live music. My dogs. My wife. Though certainly not in that order. Back in high school, I took a black and white film photography class, and since then I have always loved taking photos and being creative. It wasn’t until Keely came into my life that I started to take videography more seriously as a career. Just one of the many things I have to thank her for. Music also holds a huge part of my creative heart. I try to learn whatever instrument I can get my hands on. So you may notice that the ebb and flow of a song plays a big part of the films I make. Every song I choose really connects with me. I can’t stop searching until I find just the right feel to match a wedding day. It is really important for me to be a calm presence during the day. I don’t think I have seen a single wedding go exactly according to the timeline, and that can be stressful. Wedding day portraits are often the only time you will be alone together throughout the day, so getting you to take a breath and relax into each other makes the rest of the evening much better. I look forward to meeting you and getting to capture all of your friends, family, and memories on a great day.
